Hospital Visits: A Path to A New Beginning

A couple of days ago, I received a call asking if possible could I make a hospital visit  and without question I said, yes. The person on the other end of the phone said will you come we don’t know how long she has left, and we don’t know if she has accepted Christ as her personal Savior? I tell you when I got there although the patient wasn’t vocal:  she had some personality! I have never seen someone who was able to express herself quite like this patient before, then I began to ask and offer Christ and she was so accepting in that instant a blink of an eye she received Christ Jesus as her personal Savior. I left the hospital feeling overjoyed knowing that she was so blessed to have her mind to be able to be both willing and accepting.

I didn’t about how much or less time she had, I didn’t think about whose member she was ? We were members of the body of Christ and oh what joy the angels had because they received another one.

The next morning I received a call that she had transitioned and yes! The angels received another one! I learned so much in this visit, not an end but a path to a new beginning, I’m so glad that I was able to be available; you see these are moments that only few get to experience.

Part of the Plan

Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the LORD’s purpose that prevails.- Proverbs 19:21 NIV

Isn’t it funny how sometimes we think that we are the plan or that we have it all figured out.  I’ve come to know that:

  1. The plan isn’t mine.
  2. The plan isn’t what others have penned for me.
  3. I am not the plan.
  4. I am part of the plan.

Yes, I said it , it is through the grace of God that He has allowed me to be apart of his big picture of purpose.  God “hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling…according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began” (2 Tim. 1:9). God “hath chosen us in (Christ) before the foundation of the world…having predestinated us…according to the good pleasure of His will” (Eph. 1:4,5).

I Dare you to trust Him!

Have You Ever Wondered Why God Created You?

Have you ever wondered why God created you? Let me tell you I have. You have been created for a purpose often times we get caught up in the happenings of life, we get stuck in our past by heartbreak, often times causing us to hesitate in the present because the remnants of the past hinder progress. God created you to go beyond your present state, think less about prosperity and more about being in His presence, doing will and everything will begin to fall in place.

In Search of Real Answers

There is a difference in movement: there is something called rotational, movement is happening but its not forward; and then there is Extension movement it requires forward motion. How often do we perceive any type of movement as forward progress? how many times have we been fooled to believe that progress is happening? You see we have all done it at one time.

Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own. Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 3:12-14 ESV

As a kid I remember playing red light, green light. In this game there was no going backwards, no moving sideways, just forward movement. Let me contrast to another playground activity that most kids don’t know of and that a merry-go-round how many times can a merry -go round, well no ones knows just as long as they are powered by someone who has the force. If you get tired on a merry-go round you have options and they are to either wait for all energy to be exhausted for it stop or its own, force a stop, or jump off.  I often preferred the later bc of my adventurous nature.  The pursuit of real answers and progress requires you to get off the merry-go round of life.

A Prayer for This School Year!

Heavenly Father,

Touch the hearts and minds of every teacher, administrator, support worker and substitute. God we ask that you continue to work in their lives as they sow seeds into our children. Lord you know each everyone of them, our prayer is that you meet them where they are. Every storm we ask that you calm so that they can function in a level that is pleasing to you.

Dear God open the  minds of the students, bring things to their memory as they perform tasks.  Distribute the emotions of teachers and students so that they know how to respond regardless of what is taking place. Bridle tongues this year, dear God as you know that they are powerful tools.

Lord lead us to respond in love and with listening ear. Touch our parents with a measure of inquisitiveness, compassion, and concern. Connect our family units and our communities, lead us in putting our children first. Give us a measure of strength that when its tough we stand strong.

In Jesus Name Amen

Confession Leads to Possession

Proverbs 18:21King James Version (KJV)
21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

Have I ever stopped to think that maybe what I am possessing is the result of what I am confessing. Although it may not look good, it works together for the good especially if you love the Lord there is purpose in each day. I must not allow my words to hold hostage the assignment and purpose of God to be fulfilled in every moment of my life. Just take a moment to stop and speak by faith in the atmosphere.

Even in the midst of negativity and difficult situations take this time to confess God’s Word and speak positive. What kind of investment are you making what are you possess.
I’m a speak by faith over my: marriage, family, relationships, job, finances, purpose, life, health, and etc.

The enemy is a liar so stop speaking as well as believing in his lies, and speak what we know is the truth.
